Time is running out to register for the 2008 EURECO- GFOE conference in Leipzig. This event is taking place from 15 - 19 September and has already attracted 950 registrants.

Members of the EEF Board met with representatives from DG Environment and DG Research in a lunch time conference on Tuesday 15 July. The President of the EEF, Professor Stefan Klotz, delivered a presentation on the role of the EEF in providing a resource to policy makers wishing to incorporate the best available scientific evidence from across Europe into environmental decision making. The EEF has an important role to play in synthesising scientific information to feed into policy making in Europe, and in providing advice and guidance to decision makers seeking scientific information.
