Description:

The Estonian Naturalists' Society (ENS) was founded on October 10, 1853 in then Dorpat, Russia.
Now the Society is based at the Estonian Academy of Sciences. The ENS it is a non-profit organisation which unites professional naturalists and amateurs who actively contribute to research.

The president of the ENS is Mr Tõnu Viik, DSc (astronomy) (elected January 2008). The academic secretary is Ms Katrin Alekand, MA.
